Project Summary: Chicken Farming – Rwanda

This project focuses on sustainable poultry farming, producing both eggs and meat while integrating eco-friendly practices. Currently, the farm houses 500 broiler chickens for meat production and 500 layers for egg production.

Sustainability Approach:

  • Chicken waste is used to generate biogas for cooking.
  • Biogas byproducts, such as liquid fertilizers, enhance crop production.
  • Organic manure is repurposed for agricultural use.


Future Goals (Next 2 Years):

  • Expand to 3,000 layer chickens and 2,000 broilers.
  • Create job opportunities for the local community.
  • Integrate vegetable farming using chicken manure to support sustainable agriculture.
